The 2nd Annual Denver Area Reunion kicked off with classic Colorado blue skies and warm breezes at 11a.m. and only began winding down at 6:00 p.m.!

An official total of 82 people dropped in for burgers, brats, and lots of bragging (top that, D.C.!) and enjoyed the fellowship that comes with cherished common memories. Lots of smiles as children renewed friendships and grown-ups commented on how much the kids had grown since last year!

Three pholks ponied up for Life Memberships, ensuring a direct connection to Scouting Paradise for years to come. Over a dozen folks signed on to serve as part of a Speaker’s Bureau, and will volunteer their time at council events and troop meetings to talk about Philmont expeditions and employment opportunities. Several members also pledged to Add A Member in 2002, thereby increasing the PSA membership and helping us reach out to fellow staffers. A couple brave souls even volunteered to help with the Annual Appeal this year (we’ve got names!)

Very special thanks to Forky Rudin, who cooked up a storm and graciously handled all the barbecue duties. Curtis Elder greeted everyone with a smile during the check-in process, and Tim ‘Techman’ Rosseisen provided his usual all-around assistance and support! In short, another successful event in Denver, Colorado! Thanks to everyone who joined us – we’ll see you again next year!

Phondly,
Laura Lampe Campbell
