Times are tough. Participating in the 2010 PSA Trek can be a financial challenge for some PSA members. In recognition of this situation, your Philmont Staff Association is pleased to announce that three camperships are available for persons wishing to participate in the 2010 PSA Trek. The camperships will pay, in full, the basic fee of $380 for each recipient. Campership recipients will be responsible for payment of their travel to and from Philmont and any other expenses.
To be eligible for a 2010 PSA Trek campership you must be a PSA member and submit, in writing or by e-mail, an application statement as follows:
- Affirming on your honor as a Scout that the campership is truly needed in order for you to participate in the 2010 PSA Trek.
- Describing your past service to Philmont and/or the PSA.
- Describing your plans for future service to Philmont and/or the PSA.
- Describing your Trekking experience (Philmont or PSA) in the past 10 years.

Applications should be submitted by March 15, 2010 April 5th, 2010. The recipients will be determined by April 1, 2010. The recipients will be selected by the PSA Executive Director and the Phacilitators based solely upon the contents of the application statements.
The PSA is keen that no one be embarrassed by applying for a campership. The names of applicants will be held in the strictest confidence and will not be made public. The names of the recipients of the camperships will be made public only if all three recipients are agreeable.
