This year’s reunion is going to be a special one with the dedication of the Silver Sage Staff Activity Center as the highlight of the extended weekend. This is the culmination of our latest and biggest Capital Campaign. But the fun isn’t over on Saturday night.

The reunion will start at 1:00 on Saturday, August 16 with check-in and some displays that should spark memories and conversations. After dinner we will have the dedication of the SSSAC and the presentation of the 2008 Silver Sage Awards. The night will wind down with a cracker barrel and an opportunity to talk to old and new friends as well as the past and present Silver Sage Award winners.

Our annual meeting will take place Sunday morning after breakfast and era and family photos. During the meeting there will be programs by the PTC staff to help keep your children occupied. A tasty lunch catered by Taste of Cimarron will be held outdoors if the weather cooperates. The afternoon includes family hikes to Lovers Leap or the T-Rex print as well as round robin seminars from PSA members and Philmont staff. After dinner you can enjoy chapel services and a closing campfire at CHQ.

Monday is another day full of activities. We will once again have the children’s programs provided by the PTC staff. Also for those spouses you have drug “HOmE” with you there will be an opportunity to take a day trip into Cimarron or to Taos in case their interest in the Ranch does not match your own. After breakfast there will be two options to hike to the top of the Tooth of Time as well as an opportunity to hike to Window Rock. After lunch you have a chance to give back to the ranch with a little “sweat equity” with a variety of service projects around the ranch (including a non-physical service opportunity for those who want to help but do not feel they are up to physical labor). After dinner the annual Rabbi Zeke Memorial Porch Talk Service will be held. The evening will culminate in a PSA member music jam session at the SSSAC so bring your instruments and your singing voice.

On Tuesday we will get to experience one of the highlights of the program at the HH ranch. Geo-caching is one of the newest activities sweeping through scouting events across the country. We will utilize the NAYLE geo-caching program to see what this activity is all about. To facilitate our departure a “to go” lunch will be provided as we conclude our reunion activities.

We are looking forward to hosting you and your family back at the ranch for this year’s big event.
