Thank you ever so much for the broadcast of Joe Davis’s funeral service. I still have sharp memories of him during his first two years at Philmont when I was JLIT Scoutmaster and Camp Director: his inspiration lives on.

Jeannine and I send our appreciation for the video streaming giving us the opportunity to participate in Joe’s memorial service. Along with our five children, we had the privilege of living in the old ranch house from 1968 to 72 while we worked together. Joe and Vi were special people and many winter evenings were spent with food and fellowship.
His interest in the events of our lives never waned and each phone conversation included an update on each one of us.
He was an encourager for all of us.
Thank you for this lovely broadcast of the celebration of Joe’s life. Joe is my mother’s godfather, and we have wonderful memories of his visits to New York. My husband works for the VA Medical Center in Canandaigua and would take Uncle Joe to visit the veteran’s. They all remarked on his strong, determined handshake and his sincere smile. I would make mamool (a Syrian cookie) for Joe and it was wonderful to see him enjoy the treat. It was heartbreaking that Joe lost his son Jack just a short time ago. We look forward to celebrating together when we are all reunited in heaven. We look forward to his handshake, his greeting, and the tour of heaven by Joe. Thank you all for sharing this with us. God Bless, The Palmer’s
I am Betty Ross’ daughter from Arizona. Joe meant so much to the Ross/Toney Family. What an inspiration he was! What an amazing man he was and what a wonderful service he was given to celebrate his life. I am so glad I was able to watch it on the web because I was unable to attend. Betty and her family loved Joe so much. As, I know he loved them. We will all miss him. He is in a special place now but will always be an inspiration to all of us as we go through this life. His spirit will stay in our hearts and most of all his strength and courage. Thank you Joe.
