Your Philmont Staff Association Reunion in Tulsa keeps getting better and better!

PSA member James Talley, an accomplished entertainer and song writer, has announced a PSA benefit concert in Tulsa for the night of Thursday, October 25.

James’s proceeds from this concert will go to the PSA.

For those of you who do not know James, note that he has performed twice in the White House for a sitting president, he has performed twice at the Smithsonian Institution, and at venues around the world. His songwriting career now spans over four decades. As an artist on Atlantic, Capitol Records, and for the past fourteen years on his own Cimarron label, he has recorded fourteen albums of original music. He has recorded with B.B. King and his songs have been covered by Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson, Johnny Paycheck, Gene Clark, Moby, and many others.

In addition, James had a distinguished career in the horse department at Philmont in the early 1960s, and performed campfires at Beaubien, Clarks Fork and Cimarroncito. James credits his Philmont campfire experience as helping to launch his career in music and songwriting.

This is the perfect entertainment opportunity for those Reunion attendees who are going to be in Tulsa on Thursday night, October 25, and for any other PSA members and their friends residing in the Tulsa area.
