Philmont’s North Country has been devastated by flash flooding that occurred early Saturday morning, June 27. PSA members have called and asked how they can help campers and staff recover from losing their gear, personal items, clothing, and shelter. The Tooth of Time Traders and other Philmont departments are working ’round the clock to provide supplies quickly to those who lost items from the flooding.
How can the PSA help:
Care packages can be sent to the following effected camps and assisting departments:
- Indian Writings,
- Metcalf Station,
- Dean Cow,
- Head of Dean,
- Rich Cabins,
- The Infirmary,
- Ranger Department,
- The Backcountry Warehouse,
- PTC staff and
Packages can contain candy, snack foods, thank-you notes, notes of encouragement, morale boosting items, socks, toiletries, t-shirts, bedding items, etc.

If you’d like to make a monetary donation, you have two options: our current store which you may be very familiar with but only offers Visa and Mastercard or our new store which we haven’t officially announced yet, but accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and Paypal. Donations at either will all be collected by the Philmont Staff Association.
