1973 Club: Cooler-er in 2013

1973 club banner

Let’s have another giveaway to say THANK YOU to all our 19.73 Club members!

Once again the PSA will hold a drawing for a really nice Yeti ice chest. To be eligible for the drawing you must join or renew by December 30th, 2013. That’s all there is to it.

Contact Randy Saunders at (575) 376-1138 or just click here.

For those of you unfamiliar with the 19.73 Club, it is a way to donate a small amount each month to help support the PSA. We make it easy by setting up an automatic draft of $19.73 from a credit card. Currently we have 82 members, but we need more and to say thanks we will draw one name from among our current and future Club members to receive the cooler. The drawing will be held at the Ranch on New Year’s Eve. You are welcome to join the celebration, but not required to be present to win.

Thanks again for your support,

John Murphy VP Development

Update 20121027: Dan Westbrook won the cooler at the PSA Annual Meeting and Reunion in Tulsa. Congratulations, Dan!

We are more than halfway through the year and I wanted to be sure and say THANK YOU to all our 19.73 Club members. You make it possible to pay for High Country, have PSA events and raise money for scholarships. For all of you unfamiliar with the 19.73 Club, rather than waiting till the end of the year to give a donation to the PSA’s Annual Fund, you can join the 19.73 Club and give a monthly gift of $19.73 to support the PSA. We make it easy by setting up an automatic draw from a credit card. It’s that easy.

Yeti Tundra 45 Quart Tan Cooler
Currently we have 57 members, but we need more and to say thanks we will draw one name from among our current and future Club members to receive a super cool YETI ice chest. To make the drawing you must join or renew by September 30th. You may have seen these heavy duty coolers in hunting or fishing stores. They have thicker walls, extra insulation and are super strong.

So don’t wait. Join or renew now!

Read more here or contact Randy Saunders at the PSA office. The drawing will be held in Tulsa in October 27th and you could be the lucky winner.

Thanks again for your support,

Introducing the 19.73 Club

Hello fellow PSA member,

We need your support to help the Philmont Staff Association meet its goals. As a member you know the great job the PSA does each year in bringing you great events, news & updates, and assistance to Philmont staff and programs. Take a look at what we provide!

  • Seasonal Staff Scholarships and the Staff Amigos program
  • Rayado and ROCS Scholarships for campers
  • Reunions and Treks
  • High Country for news and more
  • The PSA website and e-newsletters
  • A voice with Philmont Management

None of this is possible without your generous contributions. In order to provide these services and grow for the future, we need to meet our Annual Giving goal by raising $84,000. Last year we had 484 members make a contribution to this drive. Let’s see if we can break the 500 mark in 2011!

We have a new, exciting, and convenient way to contribute to the PSA’s Annual Giving drive.

The PSA works year-round to provide services to its members and to Philmont. It is always a challenge to find operating funds, especially early in the year. The 19.73 Club pays tribute to 1973, the PSA’s founding year. Through the 19.73 Club you can donate a small amount every month with an automatic withdrawal and help the PSA meet its obligations.

Here’s how it works: Set up a monthly donation of just $19.73 (or multiples of that amount). It is painless and a great way to support the PSA.

You are also welcome to contribute to the PSA’s Annual Giving drive with a one-time contribution.

Set up your monthly contribution to the 19.73 Club. Classic one-time donations can also be made online through our website. Or you can contact the PSA office 575-376-1138 for more information or to set up your monthly contribution to the 19.73 Club or to make a one-time gift.

Thank you very much. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. With your contributions the PSA is able to give back to Philmont so we can ensure a bright future for its staff and our continued commitment to the Ranch.

John Murphy, VP Development
