Steve & Diane Nelson have been dedicated and passionate members of the Philmont community for over 15 years. Steve has served as the Associate Director of Program, Comptroller, and Director of Camping, and has been the PSA’s Staff Liaison for 6 years. He’s also been a mentor and inspiration to many young adults on Philmont’s seasonal staff.
Steve is retiring this Fall, and we would like to create a staff scholarship in his honor to help support opportunities to Change Lives of our seasonal staff through career development and increasing educational opportunities.
We believe that this scholarship would be a fitting tribute to Steve’s legacy, and we hope that you will consider making a donation to help us make it a reality. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to fully endow a $1,000 scholarship in Steve’s name in perpetuity.
